Stained Glass by Zet is an independent art glass studio based in Hanoi, Vietnam. Founded by glass artisan Zet, the studio is dedicated to preserving the slow, tactile, and uncompromising craft of the Tiffany copper-foil method.

Although “Stained Glass by Zet” sounds like a bustling production house, behind the scenes, it is really just one person. I am the designer, the glass-cutter, the foiler, the solderer, the packer, and the customer service rep. Born out of a quiet fascination with how sunlight transforms a physical space, the studio officially came to life in September 2024. From the very first digital stroke of a pattern sketch to the final drop of black patina on a physical suncatcher, every single piece that leaves this studio passes through my two hands.

To me, stained glass is the ultimate metaphor for optimism. You take cold, sharp, fragmented pieces of raw material, cut them apart, wrap them in copper, and bind them with molten metal—all so that when the light finally hits them, they turn an ordinary room into a sanctuary. In a world that moves dangerously fast, my hope is that my finished pieces (and the digital patterns I design for my fellow makers) bring a little pocket of stillness and permanent sunshine into your day.
